The current DAW with a Jam library project: tracks, clips with their source function, sections and mixer. Song names and imported material retain their original content.
  1. Create the parts: use Modal Interchange for a C Ionian → Phrygian progression with acoustic guitar, synth and walking bass. Add patterns from Drum Licks.
  2. Arrange the blocks: send the parts to the DAW, align their entries, duplicate blocks and edit the copies in their source modules to create introductions, a main section and an ending.
  3. Define the performance: 140 BPM in 4/4, sections Intro1, Intro2, A and Final; eight passes through the middle loop, an eight-beat count-in and a fade over the final four bars.
  4. Share the result: save the project, open DAW Player and export an MP4. Audio and chords are composed in the background, following the arrangement’s loops and sections.

Slash chord

Harmonic root and actual bass remain distinct in the symbol, on the fretboard and in the exact voicing you hear.

♩

Walking bass

Build bar-by-bar lines with chromatic and diatonic approaches, enclosures, chord tones or a complete mix.

∞

Synchronised training

The metronome remains an independent reference; during Play, GR grooves articulate chords only and also update the rhythmic staff.

IR

iReal Pro import

Paste an iReal song or full-playlist link: chords, slash chords, meter, sections, repeats and endings enter your personal library.

DAW

Create Block in DAW

Prepare and audition the part in a laboratory, then create its block from Digital Audio Workstation, always at the bottom of the panel. Playback controls stay separate; integrations and the return to your project are in that same place.

GR

Standard and Imported Grooves

Grooves for chords, bass and arpeggios: 253 Standard patterns, from jazz and funk to blues and Latin rhythms, including waltzes and meters in 5 and 7. Compare full chords, bass and response, ascending and descending arpeggios. GR patterns and personal presets remain under Imported.

Fretboard, sequences and TAB

In compatible study panels, choose the instrument view or TAB for guitar, bass, ukulele and bowed strings. TAB shows strings, positions and chords. Enable note order to follow each step: the fretboard uses reference points and a red tonic. Your choices persist and the PDF follows the selected view.

⚙

One studio, shared settings

After signing in, choose the instrument in the header. The shared popup groups sound, chords, display and MIDI; Confirm applies your choices. Tempo and pulse remain in the page panel. Preferences are retained and each function offers compatible instruments.

♩

See the beat as you play

Metronome sits with the listening controls, with a beat indicator. Start it before Play to launch licks on the next bar downbeat and practise on the same audio clock.

4+4

Tetrachord Composer

Combine two melodic cells, recognise the parent scale and its modes, then use that material for harmonisations, arpeggios and walking bass. A laboratory for exploring less familiar melodic and tonal territory.

𝄞

Guided staff reading

The note you hear lights up on both staff and instrument at the same instant. Clefs, octaves, bars, chords and slash chords follow the context, making reading a natural part of every practice session.

1–5

Fingering that follows the music

Piano hands, string-instrument positions and schematic wind diagrams follow playback. Valves, slides and keys connect each note with its instrumental gesture.

Genuinely multi-instrument

The theory stays the same. Gesture, sound and fingering change with the instrument.

A scale, chord or bass line starts from one musical result. IntervalsMaster adapts it to piano keys, guitar strings and boxes, bass and double-bass registers and their different sounds, keeping notes, fingers, staff and audio synchronised.

A more musical approach

Theory works better when it becomes sound.

Theory-heavy approach
  • Rules remembered without a sonic reference
  • Chords recognised on paper but not by ear
  • Difficulty transferring concepts to the instrument
  • Passive practice that is easy to forget
Hear and play
  • Every concept immediately has a recognisable sound
  • Ear, voice and muscle memory work together
  • See where notes are while you hear them
  • Repeat, slow down and check in real time

Why IntervalsMaster exists

I could not find the method I needed. So I built it.

I am an IT professional with a relentless passion for music. I was tired of chasing material scattered across books, videos, apps and notes, only to end up with plenty of concepts but no genuinely structured path.

So I integrated knowledge gathered over years of study into one practical system where theory, listening and hands-on playing work together. Designing its relationships, rules and learning paths was more than software development: it led me to a deeper understanding of the musical system itself by testing every concept through sight, sound and touch.

IntervalsMaster puts you in charge of musical choices: modules generate parts and the DAW lets you build the piece. It organises the work, makes every concept audible and helps you build real skills, one step at a time.

Ing. Guido RizziCreator and developer of IntervalsMaster
“I wanted to stop collecting material and finally start building a path.”
