Standard and Imported Grooves
The Groove selector separates 253 Standard patterns from Imported grooves. The three historical GR patterns and personal presets remain under Imported. Standards include swing, Charleston, jazz, ballads, blues, rock, pop, funk, soul, gospel, country, bluegrass, folk, reggae, ska, Latin rhythms, hip-hop, house, disco, garage and fusion. Find Bossa Nova, samba, choro, son, salsa, cha-cha-cha, bolero, mambo, baião, cumbia, bachata and guajira, plus waltzes and meters in 5 and 7. These are original rhythmic exercises, not song transcriptions.
Phrasing applies accents, articulation and feel to the phrase; Accompaniment applies groove attacks to supported harmonic parts. Use either option or both together. Intensity adjusts the effect; Study default keeps the exercise's own profile. A harmonic groove does not replace an independent drum track.
New rhythmic cells offer four arrangements: full chords, bass and chord response, ascending arpeggio and descending arpeggio. Variants change the sounding voices, not just the name. Accents and note lengths shape the attacks. Choose a pattern compatible with your material’s meter; a groove does not automatically change the phrase’s meter.
Groove selection and shared settings return in compatible modules. Reloading or reopening the panel restores controls without starting playback. Chord changes remain audible even with sparse patterns; an explicitly empty pattern stays silent. DAW blocks retain their configuration for returning to the source.
