IntervalsMaster

Your first ten-minute session

  1. Choose a small goal. Hear a II–V–I, build four bars of bass or find a rock accompaniment.
  2. Open the appropriate module. Use a harmony lab for chords, Bass Lines and Grooves for bass, and Drum Licks for rhythm.
  3. Set the musical parameters. Check tonic, instrument, meter and BPM where available. Start with 4/4 at 100 BPM.
  4. Listen before transferring. The material should already work in its module. The DAW organises a part; it does not fix an incompatible harmonic choice.
  5. Press Create Block in DAW. Unless you are updating an existing block, this sends a new part to the selected destination or a new track.
  6. Check the block length. Add another instrument and align the starts to hear the parts together.
  7. Save the project. Choose a recognizable name and press Save in Personal library. The browser draft does not replace an account save.

Listen with a purpose

Start with a few tracks. Hear the chords first, add bass next, then drums. Every addition should clarify a musical role: harmony, foundation, rhythm, melody or response.

If a part does not work, right-click its block and choose Edit to return to the source. Change one element—register, rhythm, voicing or phrase—then press Overwrite block to update that block.
