Editing in the source and returning to the DAW

  1. Right-click a block and choose Edit to reopen its module with the saved state, where available.
  2. Edit chords, voicing, instrument, groove, phrase or pattern in the module and audition the result.
  3. Press Overwrite block to apply changes to the original block. Create Block in DAW creates a new part instead.
  4. Cancel and return to DAW returns without applying changes. After updating, check the arrangement and save the project.

The updated block retains its position, repeats and transposition; other copies remain independent. Changing the instrument in the source changes only that block, which stays on the same track if compatible. There is no track-header instrument or groove selector.

The new phrase may have a different length: check nearby blocks. Blocks from the DAW’s iReal import retain their original length by adapting the pattern. If an older source state is missing, reconstruction may be partial.
