IntervalsMaster

Finding your way around IntervalsMaster

IntervalsMaster combines practice, musical material generation and composition. Explore a concept, hear it on your chosen instrument and, in modules offering a DAW button, turn the result into a block for a multitrack arrangement.

Three ways to work

  • Practise: choose an exercise or lesson, read intervals, chords and positions, then listen and repeat.
  • Create material: prepare a progression, voicing, bass line, lick or drum accompaniment.
  • Compose: send parts to the multitrack DAW, arrange them in time, create variations and save the project.

You do not need a complete score to begin. An idea lasting two or four bars is enough: combine it with other ideas, repeat it and edit a copy to create contrast.

Using this manual

For a quick start, read chapters 2–4. Chapters 5–12 introduce the study environments. Chapters 13–26 explain the complete journey from musical blocks to a finished arrangement. The final chapters cover lessons, restricted tools, troubleshooting and terminology.

Updated 18 October 2026: compact shared instrument views, note order, TAB for string instruments, and study PDFs with the selected view and four-bar systems. Includes DAW, lessons, and Jam with Jamulus or JackTrip.

When you want to compose

The module is where you prepare a part; the DAW is where you decide when it plays and what plays alongside it. Returning to the source module is the main way to change a block’s musical content.

The modules support both practice and creation: use them independently or prepare material for an arrangement. In modules with a DAW command, a progression, phrase or groove becomes a project block. Save blocks with the arrangement, duplicate them and reopen their source to develop variations.

Expired session and return to your screen

If your session expires, opening a screen takes you to sign in. After signing in, you return to the requested page, including administration, courses and classrooms. The DAW draft keeps tracks, clips and settings in the same browser. If restoration fails, the saved copy remains protected; reload to retry.
