Songs, imports and grooves

Songs lets you work with repertoire and progressions. Select a tune, inspect its form and chords, then set key, instrument, tempo and accompaniment using the available options.

A study path

  1. Read the structure before playback: sections, repeats and arrival points.
  2. Listen slowly and identify cadences.
  3. Compare the harmony with bass accompaniment where available.
  4. Practise a short section before playing the whole piece.
  5. Use DAW to transfer supported material, checking the import mode.

The import tools handle formats offered by the panel, including iReal Pro and Guitar Pro. They are different: iReal Pro primarily describes harmonic structure, while Guitar Pro may contain more detailed instrumental parts and notation. Inspect the imported display before using it as a foundation.

A DAW button does not mean every detail of an original file is transferred. Check the offered mode and resulting block. Notes, harmony, song structure and source-document content are not automatically equivalent.

Groove management

The Groove area works with the app’s rhythm models, including supported import and analysis tools. A groove applied to harmonic accompaniment is different from an independent drum track. Use Drum Licks to create a percussion pattern that can be edited as a block.

In Songs, bass options have a dedicated section enabled for a bass instrument. Choose the bass-line mode there, then create the DAW block. The section is hidden for piano. Instrument and groove follow the block into the arrangement.

Import an iReal Pro song by title

In Songs click Import, enter at least two characters of the title and click Search. The catalogue searches the main public iReal Pro playlists; it does not access your personal device library. If several results appear, select the version using its composer, style and key; a single result needs no dropdown. Click Import to add the song to your collection. Pasting an irealb link and the import history remain available.

Listen to the chorus

The Listening panel provides Repeat, Pause, Play, Stop, Start, Back, Next and Metronome. Play performs the progression using chords mapped to the current instrument. Choose one pass, repetition with a pause or a continuous loop. The position and compatible choices are remembered; reloading does not start audio. Training is unavailable for a complete song. The chorus shows four bars per row, with multiple chords in a box where required.
